I got that ElectroBinoculars kit from Chimera Bespoke (UK) about a year ago and I finally assembled it. It's not a perfect copy of the simrad range finder but the vacu-formed parts are very good quality, including the smoked lenses (very realistic).
No electronnics in that dummy prop, I rather tried to work on the weathering.
A leather strap I had from when I crafted my Jedi costume belt completes the binoculars and it's very convenient to hang it in the display room like a casual item.
